About us
For bibliophiles, writers in a jealous rage, and lovers of the smell of old paper. That’s Bookish & Co., where we believe that reading can be enjoyable, occasionally insightful, and hopefully free of unbearable pedantry (though we can’t promise that).
What do we offer?
Images of carefully disordered libraries; essays that won’t save the world but at least attest to its existence; and reviews that would rather be called something else. The library as amor fati, but also as a pillar raised in a lost kingdom. Everything in Spanish and English, because if you’re going to procrastinate, at least do it in two languages. This space is for those who underline books they’ve borrowed and have no intention of returning, and who believe that “reading for pleasure” requires no justification.
The library is the most intimate room in the house, and yet it is the one where there is always a space for the one who is coming, a chair or armchair waiting for someone.
Go ahead: open a book, open another tab, come back whenever you want.
