Alberto Garrandés

Narrator, essayist, and editor. In recent years, he has published ‘Sexo de cine (Critics' Prize in Cuba, 2013), ‘Body Art’ (short stories, 2014), ‘El ojo absorto’ (essay, 2014), ‘Una vuelta de tuerca’ (essay on auteur cinema and cult films, 2015), ‘Demonios’ (novel, 2016, Alejo Carpentier Prize) and ‘Marea baja’ (novel, 2023). In 2018, he compiled his essential short stories in ‘Mar de invierno y otros delirios’.
