Havana, 1971. Cuban writer, artist, photographer, and blogger. A biochemistry graduate of the University of Havana, he began working around 2000 as an independent author and digital activist. In 2010 he founded 'Voces', considered Cuba’s first digital magazine, and ran the blog 'Boring Home Utopics'. His novel 'Boring Home' won the Franz Kafka Novelas de Gaveta Prize. He also edited and contributed to 'Cuba in Splinters: Eleven Stories from the New Cuba' and published 'Espantado de todo me refugio en Trump'. His work blends literature, memory, dissent, and political criticism.
