Waldo Pérez Cino

Havana, 1972. He has published the short story collections ‘La demora’ (1997), ‘La isla y la tribu’ (2015), and ‘El amolador’ (2015), several volumes of poetry, collected in ‘Aledaños de partida’ (2015), and the essay ‘El tiempo contraído. Canon, discurso y circunstancia de la narrativa cubana’ (2014). Between 2010 and 2014, he was awarded a doctoral research grant from the FWO, Flanders, and in 2021, a writing grant from the Cintas Foundation. Since 2014, he has directed the publishing labels Almenara and Bokeh.
